In 1986, Elizabeth Karns dreamed of creating an innovative dance company to foster and showcase the talents of young performers and South Dayton Dance Theatre was born. In 1989, Gigi Gardner became the company's artistic director. Established in 1993 as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, SDDT is a pre-professional company dedicated to giving young dancers an opportunity to work with first-class teachers and award winning choreographers. |
